BAC Drawer Storage Cabinets featuring a dust prevention drawer system for Hastings Deering

The Hastings Deering Group recently updated their Mackay warehouse with a range of BAC dust prevention drawer storage modules. These drawer storage modules incorporate the latest innovations for spare parts dust prevention, and ensure the quality of the Caterpillar spare parts housed within these units. Every drawer within a drawer storage unit has an individual dust control shield incorporated into the design that opens and closes seamlessly when operating the award-winning BAC drawer storage system.

Within the warehouse of this Hastings Deering facility, a total of over 14 000 spare parts items are inventoried in BAC dust prevention drawers, with the balance of some 3000 line items stored on shelves and protected from contaminants through transparent dust control curtains. The total warehouse layout incorporates 76 award-winning BAC drawer storage modules of the “A 2100” series, with the future flexibility of increasing warehouse capacity by 100% through the option of stackable modules. This facility highlights the new standards of dust and contaminant control that is increasingly becoming recognised as a critical challenge for quality spare parts storage.

Spotlight on BAC drawer cabinets with spare parts drawers and shelves for Russia

From St Petersburg to the most remote areas of Siberia, award-winning BAC storage modules are taking their place in updating leading industrial warehouses in Russia. With 500 BAC modules supplied over the last 18 months and another 200 currently in production, the spotlight is now on one of the biggest installations in Moscow. With 146 BAC drawer storage cabinets spanning a floorspace of 222 m2, the floorspace savings are remarkable with a total of 12 300 line items housed in storage drawers, together with some 3000 larger items stored on shelves. Each of these BAC storage modules are designed to create singular building blocks, saving large amounts of floorspace in this large capacity warehouse. Such installations are adaptable to future expansions through the use of stackable BAC modules allowing the creation of further drawer storage and shelving walls.

The next generation of drawer storage units from BAC Systems feature award-winning design integrating drawer cabinets with shelving and dust prevention. The Australian Design Award-winning drawer system incorporates slotted sidewalls for drawer subdivision and perforated drawer floors for pegboard-style separation of irregularly-shaped parts.

Highly sensitive parts are protected in BAC drawers, which are supplied with a protective acrylic shield ideal for managing dust and contamination in busy mining workplaces. Larger parts can be safely stored on shelves fitted with dust shield curtains. The robust features and advanced design adapt well to mining and industrial environments complementing a streamlined and modern parts store. All BAC drawer storage units are endorsed by Standards Australia (Lic. No. 85253).
