The Mt Tabor Eucharistic community was established in 1995. The retreat house is run by Sisters from the Mary's Little Children Community (MLCC) and includes a house chapel, sisters' quarters, and a guest wing with 7 bedrooms.

The property spans some 30 hectares of grazing paddocks and bushland, providing peace and beautiful recreation in the Bellinger Valley.

The retreat house is surrounded by a number of dwellings offering permanent residence within the Eucharistic community.
