Racking Integrated with Shelving and Drawer Storage – BAC 77 Series Used for Noble Toyota

The storage requirements in a modern warehouse or parts store are never restricted to just shelving alone, or just pallet racking alone. BAC 77 Series challenges the notion that different storage mediums are required to cater for this reality.

Recently, BAC Systems used its BAC 77 Series racking and shelving system to fit-out the parts store at the new Noble Toyota facility in Revesby. The parts store was to be positioned in a pre-existing warehouse containing a mezzanine storage level. BAC Technical representatives visited both the old and new sites, completing a complimentary site survey that involved counting all existing stock items and allocating correct location sizes that minimised wasted space while still allowing for adequate growth.

The resulting system, recently installed and commissioned, combines thousands of line items including bumpers and panel, both of which are notoriously difficult to store safely due to their bulk. BAC 77 Series long span shelves and pallet racking featured heavily in the final system, offering deep shelving solutions that are not possible with a generic shelving system. Special suspension rails for long items such as light bumpers and matting made access easy for these irregular shapes.

To compliment the shelving systems, BAC High Density Drawer Modules were used for the storage of all small items. Recognised as the benchmark for drawer storage throughout Australia, BAC Drawers were supplied with internal partitioning specifically suited to the stock held by Noble Toyota and significantly reduced the storage footprint that would otherwise have been required were shelves used with bins.
