BAC Systems Benchtops - Durable Tops for Durable Workbenches
A durable workbench requires a durable benchtop. BAC Systems offers different durable benchtops for different environments and applications. Each is supplied with anchors and fasteners to mount them securely upon their stands or the cabinets provided.
BAC Eurobeech:
BAC Eurobeech is a pleasing benchtop made of hardwood grown in Eastern European forests. This laminated 40mm hardwood benchtop is strong and durable, and looks fantastic. The BAC Eurobeech Benchtop is suitable for use in workshops, classrooms, warehouses and parts stores, and anywhere you would want a sturdy benchtop with a non-metallic surface.
BAC Stainless Steel:
As popular as the BAC Eurobeech, BAC Stainless Steel is fantastic in mechanical workshops, laboratories, food and beverage production facilities and in teaching workshops. This benchtop is composed of a 1.2mm sheet of 304 grade Stainless Steel, formed and welded over, and chemically bonded to, a 40mm timber core. You can also have a stainless steel under-sheet added to achieve lab-grade, and a 316 grade variant is available upon request.

BAC Heavy Duty Steel:
Using a sheet of 2.5mm Galvanised Steel formed over a 40mm timber core, the BAC Heavy Duty Steel benchtop is the option when you need that more robust work surface. Whereas all BAC Benchtops are suitable for mounting vices, the BAC Heavy Duty Benchtop excels in those heavy fabrication environments.
BAC Compact Laminate Benchtop:
BAC Compact Laminate benchtops are all 25m thick, being the maximum standard thickness available. These benchtops combine a ureic-based composite core and melamine facing in either off-white or black. Limited to a maximum of 2020mm per sheet (due to density) These benchtops are fantastic for laboratories and class rooms.

Antistatic Options:
BAC offers Antistatic Kits, including a light-grey antistatic mat, a grounding kit for the mat, and a wrist strap grounding kit for the user. This kit can be used with any benchtop type, though is typically used with the BAC Eurobeech benchtop and the BAC Compact Laminate. When correctly installed, the measured Resistance-to-ground should be about 15 Mega Ohms, thus complying with the EPA CoP.
Other Options:
BAC has provided benchtops for other applications, such as bull-nosed benchtops and different benchtop types for welding applications. These are custom, but may be considered to complement other benchtops you are purchasing.
BAC can source Nitrile Rubber Benchtop Mats to protect your worksurface and the items you are working on – Nitrile Rubber being resistant to oils and alcohol-based liquids.
BAC is a recognised supplier of Copper Benchtops for the defence sector. Copper benchtops are suitable for consuctive benches for munitions applications.
