BAC Panel: The Australian-Made Pegboard System for Professional Tool Storage

BAC Panel: The Australian-Made Pegboard System for Professional Tool Storage

The BAC Systems Legacy

At the time of writing, BAC Systems has been manufacturing industrial storage solutions in Australia for nearly 49 years. Over these five decades, our Australian design team has developed many dedicated Tool Storage Solutions for thousands of customers who value bespoke, high-quality equipment. The modularity of the BAC range is the foundation of this personalised approach.

By pooling this extensive experience, we have created the ultimate flexible Tool Display Storage option, favoured by industrial workshops, commercial stores, and home garages alike: The BAC Panel System.

What is the BAC Panel?

The BAC Panel is a premium tool-display storage solution that utilises a perforated steel panel and a vast range of dedicated pins, posts, hooks, toolbars, and trays.

Distinct from generic pegboards, the BAC Panel combines round and square perforations. This unique configuration increases the available mounting methods, ensuring that almost any tool can be securely and ergonomically positioned.

Three Categories of Tool Display

The BAC Panel system is versatile, generally falling into three distinct applications:

  • BAC Wall Panel: These are mounted directly to walls using our interlocking mounting brackets. For environments where wall space is at a premium, BAC offers Vertical Drawers, where these "walls" are compressed into a cabinet and drawn out on precision bearing rails.

  • BAC Toolrack: These panels are mounted on a gently sloping steel frame. This specific lean angle ensures tools rest against the face of the panel, significantly reducing the risk of them being bumped off. These can be free-standing, benchtop-mounted, or integrated into a BAC Mobile Tool Carrier.

  • BAC Flightline Toolboards: These represent the pinnacle of Secure Tool Display Storage. Available as single or double-sided cabinets, they feature an industrial clear roller door in front of the panel. This allows for a total visual audit of your tools while the unit remains securely locked—an essential feature for high-accountability environments like aviation and defence.

The Advantage of Tool Display Storage

While tools can be bundled into drawers to save space, searching for a single spanner amongst sixteen others is a drain on productivity. Most technicians prefer their tools to be laid out flat in a unique, dedicated location. This transforms "finding a tool" from a minute-long search into a one-second grab.

While tool layouts can be achieved in drawers, many professionals prefer the visibility of open display. Whether it is a BAC Wall Panel, a fixed BAC Toolrack or a mobile Flightline Toolboard unit, having your tools visible and located exactly where you need them ensures your workspace remains efficient and organised.
