Why Use Drawer Storage
With half a century of experience selling High Density Drawer Storage, with high-precision roller bearings and high-yielding rails, BAC Systems has seen many reasons why you just can't go past Industrial Drawers with Drawer Partitions and Dividers to store your inventory of Spare Parts, Tools or Consumables:
- The Highest Density Solution for small parts, tools and consumables available
- Fantastic strength-to-volume ratios.
- It is more cost effective to compress your inventory than to extend your warehouse
- When your inventory is compressed, you end up saving quite a lot of money over the year in reduced walking time
- Parts are kept in better order
- Parts are kept cleaner
- Parts or less likely to be lost - double-up parts less likely to be ordered
- You actually have better vision of your parts then when you store parts in semi-open boxes on shelves in many circumstances
- better tool security
- Better flexibility for the future - cabinets are easy to relocate and drawer partitions are easy to adjust when your inventory changes
- many, many more...
The BAC Difference
BAC Drawers are Australian made, from Australian Steels, by Australian Workers. By weight, nearly 100% of our materials are sourced from our local region, minimising our material miles and supporting our local economy in a truly sustainable arrangement.
BAC Drawers are widely praised for the following characteristics:
- Superior strength (once you see it side-by-side with an alternative, there is never any doubt of BAC's superior strength)
- Large Bearings - the largest in use in this class of storage drawer
- Our Housings are made from high-yielding steels, manufactured to our own specifications, with cleverly interlocking internal columns
- Our Drawers only require 15mm of height to be reserved for deflection allowance and drawer operation, being 5-10mm better than allowances required by other drawer cabinets available.
- Superior BAC Drawer Partitions - see below for further explanation
- Superior BAC Drawer Dividers sitting between BAC Drawer Partitions - see below for further explanation
- Our Drawer Dividers have a molded lug on each side which allows them to lock into place in the partition - preventing small parts from sliding underneath the divider.
- Our Drawers can be fitted with Single Drawer Locks - an external latch to prevent drawers coming open under shock or motion, that never jam.
- Our cabinets have multiple anchoring systems, meaning that you can keep your free-flow drawers (ie. multiple drawers open at once) and never have to worry about the cabinet tipping.
There are countless more tiny refinements that the Engineers at BAC have made over the course of the last 50 years that ensure your BAC Drawer Storage Cabinet is highly refined, precise and extremely reliable in even the toughest of conditions.

Why BAC Claim to Have the Best Drawer Partitioning
So much care has gone into refining the BAC Partitions and Dividers over the last 5 decades. This is because it is the Drawer Partitions and Dividers which make the Drawer able to be high-density, and without them, there drawer is not much better than a shelf.
Steel Partitions
- Double Folded to ensure market-leading strength
- Adjustable in 25mm increments
- Supplied with a hook and nut to anchor drawer base to partition to increase drawer stiffness
- Fully powdercoated with non-gassing baked enamel powder from Dulux
Plastic Dividers
- Tough ABS plastic to prevent brittle fracture
- Molded with unique lugs to lock the divider into place, preventing parts from passing underneath - unique to the BAC Systems Dividers
- Complete with full-length label flange - 45 degrees and 12mm tall (large enough for 1D and 2D Barcodes)
- Adjustable in 25mm increments
BAC Systems also have a comprehensive range of plastic bins and a BAC Plastic Groove Tray system for small or long parts storage. Click on this link to view the available BAC Paritioning Parts available for purchase.
BAC Storage Modules - More than Just Drawer Storage Cabinets
BAC Industrial Shelving Cabinets
It is true that, at BAC Systems, we rightly promote our BAC Industrial Drawer Storage as the best solution for storing small-to-medium spare parts.
To complement these precision drawers, we also offer what is perhaps the best industrial storage shelf in Australia. All BAC Shelves have the following features:
- 250kg even loading capacity
- Able to fit in BAC Storage Cabinet Housings - up to 2000kg loading per housing
- Adjustable in 15mm increments - Mounted on nylon Shelf Clips or bolted into place, as preferred.
- Designed to fit a range of Adjustable BAC Shelf Separators. Shelf separators can be adjusted in 50mm increments, allowing each shelf to be broken down into individual locations, increasing the density of your shelf storage.
Combining BAC Shelving and BAC Partitioned Drawers into a BAC Storage Cabinet results in what is arguably the most volumetrically efficient storage solution available.

Beyond Drawers and Shelves
Not everything can be stored on drawers and shelving. There are always special items that need special provisions. BAC prides itself on being a solution provider - the following are some modular solutions for different storage requirements:
- Spoolbars (for small and medium reels and spools - where unwiding access is required)
- Hose Reel Rack (for storing and unwinding medium and large spools of cable or hose - up to 100kg per reel)
- Adjustable Arms (Relocatable Arms which protrude from the rear of the cabinet providing hanging storage for long items, coils and drums)
- BAC Panel (Perforated steel pegboard, able to be mounted in various locations within the cabinet).
- BAC CNC Containers to hold CNC tools

Cabinet Versus Module - Which is it?
At BAC Systems, we use Cabinet and Module interchangeably. Both are correct descriptions of what we are selling, though each offers a different aspect for consideration:
- Cabinet - because it is a cabinet structure which we sell. Each Cabinet is a piece of industrial furniture / equipment for supporting the storage mediums being used, such as shelves and drawers.
- Module - because our cabinets have been designed for modularity. Each module is the foundational element of a complete storage solution, and so it is logical to refer to them as modules.
