BMW Dealership in Auckland NZ – Three BAC Systems Type ‘A’ cabinets

BAC Cabinets are recognised internationally as one of the leading ways to store your spare parts and tools at an Automotive Dealership. In New Zealand, the newly opened East Auckland BMW dealership chose to adopt BAC Cabinets after successfully using them in their flagship Auckland City BMW dealership some years before. The result is a pristine and professional aftersales department, combining stylish looks and the functionality that only BAC Cabinets can make.

The parts department was divided into an inner room with a service counter, and an external warehouse for bulky parts. The building’s designer from Realty Concepts in Auckland aimed to fit all of the small and fast-moving spares into the smaller inner room. He achieved this by utilising 3 BAC Storage Modules from the BAC ‘A’ Series range. The drawers were supplied with adjustable dividers that made fitting parts a simple process, and the shelves above the drawers provided them a location to store their fast-moving fluids. These three cabinets offer storage locations for over 1000 individual line items in less than 2.3m² of floor space!

The workshop is a great example of a modern, clean and functional automotive service centre. The workbenches needed to be continuous, so all workshop storage was required to be beneath the benchtops. BAC provided cabinets with tool drawers, lockable cupboards, and small tool trolleys that are nimble and are perfect for manoeuvring around hoists and cars. Additionally, BAC provided hanging brackets for the large and bulky fender guard protector mats which are used by BMW technicians to protect the vehicles they service. These mats are critical when servicing a car, but in too many workshops you see mechanics not using them because they have nowhere in the workshop to store them. BAC Systems devised a method for storing these fender guard mats on a bracket beneath the benchtops, right where the mechanics can easily access them.
